Okay. Is this not THE perfect picture? Hmm? No seriously... hmm? The only thing that irritates me (besides hating my face) is the hugeness of the damn t-shirt. As you can see it's the perfect shirt for obvious reasons, except for the fact that it's one of those retarded college handout t-shirts that they only give away in XXL. Guh.

So uh, sorry for weirding you all out with my "you touch-a my stuff I break-a your face" attitude. It makes me laugh, though, to be on a porn site and have this kind of attitude. Can't be too many others like that on here.

It's not as if I don't like looking at the pictures on SG. I'm kind of fascinated by the pin-up aesthetic. SG is the only "porn" that's ever interested me. (It helps that there are no guys in it. A lot. Though Poison's unofficial set with JesseWestEnd was pretty hot. But it helps that JWE didn't lose all the clothes. A lot.) Lately I'm fascinated by girls who are strippers or dancers. I think in some ways it's just the coolest thing. There can be a dark side to it that makes me sad, but I guess sometimes, depending on the girl and the circumstances, it can be an empowerment thing, like it is for the SGs. I dig that. And NO, I'm NOT becoming a stripper/dancer. Standard disclaimer

Anyway you guys are DA BEST. I can't stress that enough. From your comments it sounds like I didn't weird you out as much as I thought I had. And now I know I'm really not the only "untouchable" out there! (I promised L7rules that I wouldn't actually cut people. I'd just kick some shins.)

As indicated by an earlier journal entry, I have a bit of a fascination with ad copy. I've been wondering who writes the ad copy for the SG shop. My bets are on Flux. It could be someone listed on the help page, like sixela or taurus (Heather), but I want to believe it's Flux. DON'T TAKE THAT AWAY FROM ME (joke) What do you think?

Ah I don't know, I still feel like the biggest n00b ever. People tend not to interact with me on the boards much at all. I get more interaction in the groups. But as I keep saying every chance I get, the boards are a pretty volatile place. And, yes, cliquey. And since I have no interest in being adopted into any of the cliques, I suppose I will remain on the fringe.



I made friends with jonnytrrrash7 on the boards though ( ) thanks to our shared love for Britain's beloved dance-pop-or-something band Saint Etienne. And by God, I got him to check out Annie, and he likes her. Could there be a happier ending to this story? I think not. I promised to draw him a penguin, so there it is. (Funny thing, I've been attempting to add the penguin image for over an hour but I keep getting sidetracked. But I am VERY GLAD to have gotten sidetracked for Annie. I won't be able to think straight for the rest of the night.)

What has me bitter, though, is that MTV has done stuff to protect the video stream. I have a program that can grab streams and save them to my computer (which is how I have videos by Annie and many others) but MTV embedded the video in a flash movie, so there's no clear-cut way to find the URL of the stream. Dude. I want that fucking video.

15 minutes later, I'm sitting here sweating, with a maniacal glint in my eye, scouring every single line of Javascript referring to the page, in an attempt to figure out the URL. This is getting a little out of hand, really. I would ask for help in the PC Users group or something, but I know I'd get the "stealing is wrong" speech ten thousand times and nobody would be willing to help me. Or... maybe I'm wrong. I don't know. I'm not thinking about it any more tonight. Actually that's such a lie, this will be tormenting me for days. Fuck you, MTV. Fuck you.

I received one of the raddest shirts ever today. Feast your eyes... on THIS!



See, the really dorky thing about my photos is that in order to not look like a moron, I have to do these pretend sexy poses. Otherwise, I just look like a goofball. Thus the pseudo-sexy pose. I tried doing a "thumbs up" pose to be hilarious, but the result was just... ugh.

But yeah, check the similarity with this and you'll see why I got it: Annie's sound guy Timo was wearing it at her show, and I knew I HAD TO HAVE IT. In case you haven't been keeping track, Foxbase Alpha is the name of Saint Etienne's debut album. On the album cover (which was my profile pic briefly) a girl is holding a sign with these words on it, just like on the shirt. Since I already have a shirt I plan to wear if I ever get to see Saint Etienne in concert, this shirt is reserved for other concerts I may go to, so I can show everyone I have better taste in music than they do. So, good old mom is back from NYC. It sounds like she had an okay time, but at times it was quite an overwhelming experience. She told me that four days is about as long as she can stand to be with her sister. My aunt isn't bad, she's just a little... hyperactive, let's say. And she lacks common sense and plays everything by ear. So it's understandably a little difficult to be around her for extended periods of time. I wonder how we'll deal with her when we go to Rehoboth Beach next month.



I believe that my next entry will have a LOT to do with Google's amazing new-fangled contraption Google Earth. If you haven't heard about it yet, you will. It's freaking amazing. I've spent far too many hours looking up monuments and landmarks and big mountains, and taking screencaps. I discovered that Google Earth accepts decimal coordinates in its search box. If you can find the degree/minute/second coordinates of a place, you can convert them to decimal here, and plug 'em into Google Earth, hit enter, and watch yourself flying over the planet to your destination. It's wicked.
