i rode motorcycles with a dying old man, all across the texas desert all day today sweating out something strange while i talked to old ladies with voices in their heads at anonymous meetings. Ray crossed corners like he was invincible, but the doctor says he's dying. I put my arms around him real tight, even when we weren't turning cause i could feel his heart beating underneath his leather jacket and knew soon it might stop and i never get to feel the pulse of his heart again.
