i've settled into my new home and it's actually nice here. i mean, i don't suppose it's any different but it feels better. i had coffee this morning with my mom and my grandma (my grandmother so far has been the only person NOT to say anything about my new hair - i keep getting shitty comments on it like "lolz forget to dye the rest of your hair??!!!") next saturday is my quasi uncle's 18th birthday, i think i am going to hicago with him? i'm not sure.
but i've noticed that people in this city are so much more different than the people in lakeland. it's like, florida and indiana are years appart or whatever. everyone here is obsessed with football and everyone was wearing a notre dame shit/jacket/sweater/whatever today because there was a home game. i forgot how weird everyone here wa about their football. it's like that's all there is. so far i haven't seen one person of interest that isn't clad in green and gold. there aren't even trendoids working at starbucks! it was an old lady with a mullet and a notre dame turtleneck on! this place is like an alternate universe!
i got lost, and that was about the highlight of my day. i was 30 minutes late picking my brother up because i drove up all the way by the college by accident and got stuck in FUCKING FOOTBALL TRAFFIC.
idk...now i have to drive to go get my mom and it's dark and the mph thing (spedometer?) is broken so i'm scared to drive :[
