Things hurt this week.

Tuesday night I finally let myself be pissed off at Steph; I accepted that things didn't just "happen," like I've been telling myself for the last 2 months- she chose to do what she did. I also talked to one of her old housemates about things for quite a long time, which helped a lot.

Yesterday I went out and had...

More nakedness. (Baring my soul, perv!)

It suddenly struck me the other day that people often don't write the truth in their profiles, 'cos it's not funny or cool. Well, I find it interesting to know the truth about people, so I thought I'd start a trend by sharing what my real answers are- post yours in your journal too if you like the idea....

I've been going to sleep at 3am and getting up largely when I feel like it. (I need to get out of this habit, though- it's getting dark about 3 hours after I get up- this can't be good for me)

I have no lessons between Wednesday afternoon and Monday afternoon.

I have lovely white walls and an angle-poise lamp over my bed. Consequently I...

What did I talk about before my life became a sea of women and problems (and often women problems)?

Monday I had to give a 5 minute presentation on someone I admire or find interesting. I was gonna cobble together something about Bono, just because he's interesting, and then it occurred to me to take the opportunity to introduce Mr. John Peel to the rest...

Well folks, I'm now a free agent.

I don't think it would be fair for me to say what's been going on with Annie, but while I think it'd be strange to see the back of her after 6 years, I think it's time for me to give her some space. surreal

I saw Jennie, the hot Finnish girl who I'd thought was a certainty today....

I'm glad to say my life isn't messed up. Not in comparison to the people around me. Their mess makes my life complicated, but it's better than the alternative.

I've known for a while that one of my best friends split up with a guy I know when she was 14 'cos he mistreated her. I didn't know details, so I let it go (I...

Phew- thought I'd managed to lose my Swedish SIM card with about 35 credit on it, but in a moment of inspiration last night just before I went to bed, I thought of one last place where it might be and there it was- in a little mobile phone pouch on the strap of a rucksack. I have a habit of putting things in "clever"...

Thanks for your kind words on my last post. kiss I don't know what will happen yet...I guess we'll see.

I have a knack for thinking I've lost things when really I haven't...last month I canceled my credit card because I thought I lost it. It was under my pillow. mad

Crap- realised last night I've lost my Swedish SIM card- no biggie, 'cos half the people that have my number are leaving in 6 weeks, but I'd got about 35 credit on it, which is a pain.
I think I remember dropping it, but I couldn't see it and I was too tired to actually care. Bugger I guess I'm getting another one now, unless...

Ok, so I'm back in England for a week, partly to attend to a few practical issues (picking up new laptop, buying clothes roughly my size, etc...) and also to take a break from the chaos which is my life in Sweden and sort my head out a bit.

Tonight I attended my first social function since I returned- the mighty Gin Panic rocking the...

interesting story about your friend biggrin a strange thing is that before his confession, he told me that everyone in the UK and Ireland was inbred. now, that may or may not be true, but i thought that was a bit rude, nevertheless. (basically he was saying we were all ugly whatever ). Anyway, how rich is that coming from a genuine aristocrat! mad bloody cheek.

i have to agree with Pearlbass on this one. i definitely wouldn't ditch Sweden for a girlfriend, unless ditching Sweden looks like it's going to happen anyway (and you haven't got a lot to lose in the long run). i guess you've been there a couple of months now, but the first few months are always the toughest.

that said, i've been in a similar situation myself. when i was a first year undergraduate, i was having an internet relationship with an Australian. the distance of it drove me crazy, and so when she decided to come over, i took a gap year between my first and second year. we travelled europe together, and while it worked out in a way, it actually turned out that we kind of went against each other's grain (if you know what i mean). so if any bigger sacrifices had been made, i really would have regretted it now. (still, trying telling me at the time whatever ).

Trust your instincts, is all I can say really.

good luck for when you head back to Sweden smile ARRR!!!

And that's why they are the support band and not the headliners hehe

It is hard to let go sometimes but it's probally better in the long run.

So a while ago I refered to having a new Steph.

Her name is Annie.
We met on the net about 5 years ago and we became really good friends- we're into the same stuff and we've been through similar stuff too.
She's come over to England to study at Oxford (clever thing) and I've been thinking, "fantastic, we can meet up and have fun"....
