Hmm... where to begin?

In recent news... last night I went to see my friend's play at Julliard - they did a remake of Aristothanes' The Birds. It was pretty funny. Then we ended up going out late and drinking with the cast, which was also fun. Missed a call from V. to meet her downtown at a club, unfortunately. Next time.

This was has been highly unproductive, in the best sort of way. And will continue to be so, my the way things look. Today's my sister's birthday (28), but she's hanigng out with her friends, who I despise, so I sent her a card and gave her a phone call. Still trying to figure out what I want to do tonight.

Anyway, I've gotten pretty good at writing here fairly regularly, so I'm thinking about taking advantage of that to write some pieces that have been bouncing around in my head for a while. Feedback is appreciated, even if it's 'You suck. Everything you write should be burned in effigy.'

Edit: OK, I reconsidered, because what I wrote ended being WAY too long for this format. So I'll link it instead.

You can read my stuff here.

I LOVED that piece. It was dead-on to what I'd have written about the Chicago subway system... same rules and everything. I identified completely.

The only part that was different was the "24-hour service". Chicago's subways, for some reason, don't run 24/7. frown

The parts about knowing when a train left by how many people are on the platform and spotting the open seats as the train slows down made me laugh - so TRUE! biggrin
