Alright, I should know better than to read things that make me angry early in the morning. Apparently my "ignore it, this person is an idiot" function is off when I first wake up. Got angry at some people on facebook this morning for being thankful that a gay marraige law did not pass this tuesday. I don't care that they think it's a good thing, though I do disagree. What I care about is the fact that they made a group to celebrate it. Something about "what God meant marraige to be." It pissed me off, I joined long enough to tell them so, and then ranted a bit in general on a couple of blogs. People are angry with me now. And trying to pretend they're being full of Christly love as they tell me to bugger off. I'm not a Christian, but it's not for lack of faith in God that I say so. It's for lack of faith in the intelligence and integrity of some of his followers.
And here I am, trying to explain how I should NOT rant about these things, and probably pissing more people off in the process. Ah well. Open mouth, insert foot. It's what I'm good at.

Aww, thank you guys! I do enjoy the rants I occasionally go on. And the ensuing discussions have been extremely entertaining-- one person messaged me in a very mature and respectful manner, addressing my points one by one and thanking me for hopefully prompting people to think; the other ranted back at me and tried to save my soul. The second one is very tired of me being condescending to him, but I told him that I will continue to address him as child so long as he displays the manners and closed-mindedness of one. Hee hee hee.

That is a healthy rant and I do agree with you. I can't stand people that relate shit with religion, keep it to your fucking self. I'm catholic and go to church only for weddings and funerals because I just think religion as a whole causes more harm than good. As for gay marriage, I'm all for it. By the way, thanx for the add.
