My Thanksgiving weekend was a lot of fun. I was off for four days, and I tried to enjoy every minute of it.
Wednesday after work I went to a friends only Thanksgiving dinner. It actually turned into a friends and family thing, but it was nice to get together with everyone. Thursday I didn't do much. I worked on a trail I am cutting through the woods to be a running path. Friday I wanted the Iron Bowl (it was a great game, even though my team lost), and afterwards I went to see Blind Side with some friends. It was a really good movie, espeically if you're a fan of football. After the movie we went to a bar to listen to a terrible band fuck up good songs and watch the white trash. We had a really good time (alcohol helped).
Saturday I hung out at a friends house and watched the Florida-Florida State game with him. Watching the Florida Gators play is great. They really bring the game to a whole new level. This Saturday's SEC Championship Game between them and Alabama is going to be an epic clash. That game will be the REAL national championship game.
After the game a couple of us went to see The Boondock Saints II: All Saints Day. I enjoyed it, but it wasn't as good as the first (so few sequels are!).
Sunday I spent most of the day being lazy at home.
Oh, also over the past week or two I've put part I&II of a story I've been working on in the Dirty Filthy Smutty Story Group. I had forgotten how much I enjoyed writing a good story. I've been letting my dark side out in these, so if you check them out expect BDSM.
This week has kind of sucked. No particular reason. It just has. I'm looking forward to it being over and getting on with the weekend. Tomorrow is payday, and I should be looking forward to that, but I lost a day of pay (didn't feel like using a vacation day for my four day weekend since I'm saving them for a special occasion...what occasion I don't know).
A good bit of my paycheck will be going to pay for this. I need a new coat, and this is the one that seems to suit all my needs. I'll be getting it, assuming someone doesn't run the bidding up. I don't think that will happen seeing as a week ago the bidding on the same coat ended without a single bid.
