Watched two movies today: Adaptation and House of Flying Daggers. House is pretty odd, kind of unsatisfactory in the ending department, or... not, I dunno. I'm not a massive fan of the Chinese wire-fu genre (Hero/House/Crouching Tiger etc), I prefer more visceral martial arts, but I can't deny they're beautifully conceived and shot, and the choreography is just insane.
Adaptation is one of the best films I've seen in a while, just stunning. I don't really know what else to say about it. Cage looks terrible in it (in a good way). Kaufman rocks.
