I love donuts... but I have to admit that I'm really picky in that matter, and even if I love donuts, if I have to pick which ones are my favorites, I would say stuffed donuts... regular donuts for me are just sweet bread with toppins, but stuffed ones... OMG!
And of all the stuffed donuts I have to choose arequipe stuffed ones... yeah whipped cream, jam, chocolate fills are great, but there is always something about arequipe that goes well with everything!
The consistency, texture and sweetness of arequipe makes and explosion of happiness on every bite you take of that donut!
Arequipe is called "caramelized milk" or "milk jam" in the USA... I know arequipe in some countries is made of goat smoked milk and is called cajeta, I would also love to try those stuffed donuts too...
You have to buy a jar of arequipe and try it on everything: bread, cookies, as desserts toppin or just on a spoon and lick it like a lollipop: arequipe is like the peanut butter of LATAM (without the peanuts).
But well gotta run and have my breakfast with Colombian Coffee (OFC) and 1 or 2 Arequipe donuts so0 I can start my day properly!
