I lost the journal entry that I wrote earlier today in a freak accident that happens every other day or so with email or journal entries: I just fucking close it before it's done. Whoops.
Geek Love should not have taken me four days, I felt like I was reading incredibly slowly. Not that it was bad; I really enjoyed it, but it won't join a large percentage of members' favorite book lists for me. I'm not entirely sure that statement made sense, but I enjoyed it, and I'm done. On to The Simpsons and Philosophy: The D'oh! of Homer.
Family's back in town as of today. Ugh. My middle brother goes to camp Sunday, until next Friday, when I must brave some strange city I've never visited to retrieve him, as the rest go back out to New Mexico. After a week with the useless pre-teen, I take him to the airport to fly back to New Mexico in trade for my less-useless-yet-far-more-negative father. I'm sure this plan could have been more simple (and less painful), had I only been in charge.
My LA trip is ages and ages away. Why? If the gift I received from Geraldine is any indicator, it should be a blast. Unfortunately, I won't run into Flux as previously expected, so there will be no NHS tea for me. Yet they're trying to plan the event without me! Tsk, tsk.

I have to agree about Geek Love. It was interesting but not a favorite.

I really wish you'd talk to me more about what's goin on in your life, instead of having to check your entries to see what's up.
