I've been thinking about death a lot the last few days. Last weekend I heard bad news about my neighbor's friend, who I also happened to work with a couple years ago. Her boyfriend died in a car/motorcycle crash back in August. I looked back for articles on it, and I found one that described the guy with a car wheel pinned on top of his head. A police officer gathered bystanders who lifted the car off of him. Unfortunately he died a few days later in the hospital.

Today at work I heard that my coworker's brother died in his sleep. I've got lots of friends who ride motorcycles, but this coworker is the one I particularly wanted to share the above story with. I held back because of the Red Asphalt phenomenon; knowing these things and fearing them makes you a worse driver/rider.

On a lighter note, everyone close to me is travelling for Thanksgiving. My girlfriend and I will be in Costa Rica, my mom in Hawaii, my dad in Mexico, my brother and sister-in-law are going to Tahoe, and my roommate LaFemmeMakita is going to Vegas. That's a lot of travelling goin' on!

i like that song too.... the whole magnolia soundtrack too.

yep, driving has been scaring the shit out of me lately. esp. that 24/580/80 interchange in emeryville (by the home depot). good god, the biggest clusterfuck freeway merge in the bay area if you ask me.

hey i think i saw your pic on this site from a prom. SG has proms? You mean I can go to prom again and not be drunk in a cheap hotel room puking my guts out? How cool. Well, i guess that could still happen, at least this time I wouldn't get grounded.

i wish i joined SGSF a long time ago!

p.s. wow you are gonna have a great turkey day. lucky you!!!

I'll be going to San Diego. I guess that's not that big of a deal.
