This dates me terribly (actually, it way pre-dates me), but Bob Hope singing "Thanks for the Memory" has always been a favorite of mine... facebook reminded me that it was the lyricist's 113th birthday yesterday, and when I checked out the Youtube link, I found I never even had properly known all the clever lyrics. (Song starts at about 1:11)

Thanks for the memory......

I always liked Bob Hope! What an excellent song, "Thanks for the Memory." I don't think I ever really knew the lyrics, either. Of course I think everyone who has done a version since his has slightly altered them.

Also, thank you so much for sharing the spring poem! I quite liked it. ^_^ I really haven't read enough Wordsworth. I giggled a little at your calling him William "Will" Wordsworth. I don't think I'd ever heard him referred to as Will before. hahaha!

Thank you <3

Ah, Sunday! And the first Sunday that feels like Spring... the sun is shining, the birdies tweeting, and our balcony is already warm and inviting when it used to be chilly and drafty for months, not to mention the 5 inches of snow that covered it as recently as 2 weeks ago. Fell out of bed at 6 a.m. and toodled off to the gym...

No congratulatory response is too inadequate, so a million thanks regardless. Whether it be taxes or the search for a new job, remember that all of this is a moth in behemoth clothing. Spring has arrived, which means new life.

I love the beginnings of Spring. I was just enjoying all of the blossoming plants in my neighborhood as I walked home from the bus stop earlier this evening. It's just lovely. ^_^ I think you have an excellent attitude about the work situation. You are absolutely right! Good luck with the job hunt! I'm doing the same thing right now, myself. Those are excellent movie purchases, too. I really loved My Week With Marilyn. It was very nicely done. On a final note, can I please have that cake?! It is too awesome!

Well, for those who read this and care, the axe came today and gave me a haircut..meaning I'll get my workweek cut to 20 hours (from 30) come May 1st. Better than getting axed completely, but still not the best of news. I'll put a positive spin on it by putting all my efforts into finding something new, more exciting, and better paying...starting today!

Hi! Just a quick pictorial record of a short weekend/start-of-the-week trip we took to the snowed-in countryside right outside of Berlin - we stayed 2 nights at a nice country hotel, visited some castles and parks (all under several inches of snow this late in March) and Wittenberg, the city where Martin Luther worked, taught, and started the Reformation some 500 years ago. Capped the...

This day didn't start out too badly, with me logging another 130 minutes on the stairstepper...and it's probably ending ok, with me donating another pint or two of my precious blood to the Red Cross. The in-between part...not so good, with dark clouds gathering over my job, and three colleagues getting the axe. Who knows what carnage will greet me when I return to the...

Be sure to donate enough blood for the both of us! tongue Thin veins prohibit me from donating, as I'm sure those monstrous needles would sever my veins on impact. Whatever comes next with your job, master the tidal waves like a sea captain and hope for a brighter tomorrow. No one enjoys losing their job, unless under their own terms, so I pray you do have some good news going into this week.

Thanks, not applied yet, as I'm concentrating on my assessment this week. Will hopefully get my application done at the weekend.
