60, count 'em, 60 little comments-as-poems praising the lovely Satelina:

The one that started it all: Mirror mirror on the wall, is there really any question who's sexiest of all?

And then 59 more, in no particular order:

Mirror mirror I feel it's my duty, to add some more poems praising your beauty

Mirror mirror I may be showing my age, but I just...

Hydroponics! How's that for a sexy lead? There's a cool little startup here in Berlin called Efficient City Farming, and they have developed a system for growing vegetables and fish in a virtuous circle that needs less input and produces less waste, also needs less space and can be done near to where the products are consumed, making do with less wasteful transportation. I...

Here on SG, I doubt that he's on many people's fave lists... but Irving Berlin, born on this day 125 years ago, is truly a giant of songwriting. It's amazing to me that this little Jewish boy from Siberia not only survived the antisemitic climate in tsarist Russia, the cramped passage to the new world, and the no less cramped and crowded living conditions in...

I'm ashamed to say that I have to go and google Mr. Berlin. confused

To be honest, foot tattoos aren't really that sore. Okay, I don't think tattoos are all that painful in general, but that's just me. Let's just say that having your private parts waxed is way worse than any tattoo. biggrin

Glad you like it, I'm absolutely in love with it.

I love Irving Berlin's works. I didn't know all of that about him, though! How cool! He wrote some of my favorite standards. ^_^ "What'll I do?", "Blue Skies", "I've got my love to keep me warm", and of course the holiday favorite "White Christmas." Happy Birthday, Irving Berlin!

A few more or less random pics from last weekend's trip to the international architecture show in Hamburg, the city of Bremerhaven (if you ever heard the tale of the musicians of Bremen, Bremerhaven is the port of Bremen) and to Helgoland, Germany's only "real" sea island - imperial Germany swapped the island against Sansibar back in the 19th century.

Colorful new architecture in Hamburg:...

Spent a fascinating three days in the German city of Bremerhaven, home to a couple of fascinating museums (some few choice pics to follow shortly), the most interesting of them being the German Emigration Museum. The amazing life stories of a select few of the millions of Germans who left their home country over the past couple of centuries, many of them settling in the...
