New year, new job?

Folks, for those of you who are reading my infrequent contributions, I'm happy to report that my days (months, actually) of employmentlessness may be drawing to a close. Once more, this would mean a somewhat new field, and a new work environment and job description to get accustomed to.

My job would be as resident psychologist and nominal head of a small institution that provides non-residential schooling and therapy for 9-16 year old boys with developmental or behavioral or learning difficulties. At any one time, there are no more than 30 of them (at the moment only 18), and there are several teachers and therapists working with them. I spent a trial day there last week, and it seems like a doable and interesting job, even if it's one I haven't done before. Since they are having a personnel shortage right now, I've agreed to extend my trial period into the next (this) week, and they really seem to want me.

So, wish me luck they don't find out my glaring incompetence before the ink on the contract is dry ;-)

I glad you find something that you are interested in! new job, even if you never did it before, can be exciting challenge. If you will choose it I am sure there is nothing what you can't handle on there, good luck!

Sounds like an interesting job, definitely rewarding work, though I'd think it'd have its days because of the age group.
