Ever since I've been a member here, I've wanted to do a real great Xmas post, with a longish text in rhyme about all my fave friends and SGs and how I love being here and all that jazz. Sadly, this year I fail once more, but I shall return with greater resolve next year.
Meanwhile, here's wishing everyone a wonderful Christmas, if they do celebrate it, and a fantastic start into the New Year. I'd like to say a "good riddance" to 2016 already, as it has brought me many unhappy and unpleasant memories. And for the world at large, 2016 brought the passing of many well-loved celebrities, the Brexit, and the election of The Trump. But who knows, maybe we'll all be looking back on 2016 with sentimental fondness, because 2017 is...worse - as in the words of a classic song,
When you think you've hit the bottom, and you're feeling really low -
You mustn't be discouraged: there's always one step further down you can go!
When you're lying in the gutter, feeling just a bit unsure,
Just wait until tomorrow; you may be lying flat face down in the sewer.
When you're sitting on a park bench, eating grass 'cause you've no dough,
Your luck may change mañana - you may be six feet under, helping it grow.
But enough with the cheerfulness! Hope everyone's, including my, 2017 is just fine and dandy! Cheers!
