I'm getting acupuncture for the first time tomorrow!
When I was first diagnosed with fibromyalgia, I was told that acupuncture might help.
I did medication for a while but stopped it because I didn't need it anymore.
Things are getting bad again, though. I've started wearing extra layers just for the padding, and wrapping my forearms in my scarf when I sit anywhere so nothing touches them.
It just hurts.
My main concern, however, is that it's effecting my exercise. I'm trying very hard to lose a significant amount of weight, and the fibromyalgia isn't helping.
Anyway, back to the acupunture-- I'm really hoping it will help. Those kinds of things always make me nervous.
Not the being stuck with a whole bunch of pointy things-- I'm not worried about that.
It's the being stuck in a dimly lit room in your skivvies with a stranger part.
Yikes.
I'm actually a little excited about the whole bunch of pointy things part...
