A week from today is my birthday.

I'll be 33.

No one likes gettin older, I'm still of the belief that 4AM is more for going to bed, than it is going to getting up.

But time is the fire in which we burn. It's like a predator; it's stalking you. Oh, you can try and outrun it with doctors, medicines, new technologies but in the end, time is going to hunt you down...

Enough of the morose, lets talk about the good stuff.

I've never had a problem getting strangers to buy my drinks.. Hell, I got Dryad and myself hammered on St. Patricks day for $14. Because other folks kept buying us drinks, shots, whatever. My hope is to end up somewhere where my birthday instigates that sort generosity. I think I'll probably end up at a pool hall somewhere. Its good times.

I'm hoping to get a few birthday dollars in the mail. And I know there's been a few packages delivered to the house that I wasn't allowed to open.

Honestly though, the present I had originally envisioned for birthday 33, is quite appropriately, a threesome. The lady and I are both open minded, adventurous sorts.. we love and trust each other enough that this shouldn't have an impact on our relationship, and we both adore sex. Its been bandied about a few times in conversation and its been decided that if we can find someone we both find attractive then it could actually happen. She's never had a threesome before, and I've only participated in what some folks call the "Devil's Threesome", a.k.a. an MMF, or two guys and one girl party. This being my 33rd birthday I was hoping to engage in a MFF.. I've guaranteed her that if things go well and she enjoyed herself I would have no problem doing the same for her, whenever she wanted it, if the thought of two men enjoying her was a turn on.

But of course, there's always the hurdle of finding someone appropriate. We're discerning adults with fairly high standards and its not often we meet someone who we'd agree on. There've been a few we've considered, but they were for one reason or another, not quite persuable.

And then there was another one we both agreed on, as she's funny and attractive and we know she's sexually adventurous.. but wouldn't you know that before we had a chance to approach her she found herself a relationship, and we are NOT the type of people to screw up someones chance at happiness.

So, its startin to look like that's not going to happen, and I'm okay with that.. you can't just will these things to happen, it takes time if you want to find someone right. Instead this year I'm lookin forward to some drinks, some dinner, some pool, and some fabulous lovin from my perfect girlfriend.

Maybe next year though.. or maybe it'll just fall into our laps when no one is paying attention.
