Heading to Columbus tonight to see a bunch of folks I used to play punk rock with years ago. The Carabar on Parsons! Scone B Fun!
Here are the details:
:::::::::::Family Tree of Columbus Rock show TONIGHT::::::::::::
BLACK CLOUD
NAKAMURA LOCK
Plus: SECOND STATE BUTCHERS
this Friday, January 26th
@ Carabar ----- 115 Parsons Ave.
The Butchers will play first starting around 10:00 p.m. followed by Nakamura Lock. Black Cloud will finish out the night.
Free show...Need another reason?
This show includes 3 new bands featuring someone from every Columbus band of the 90's well almost. I would say no more than 3 degrees of separtion from every Columbus band in the past 15 years.
(Band details stolen from Donewaiting, I beg for forgiveness, actually I stole them from Tobi who first stole them from donewaiting.)
The Black Cloud:
Craig-O, from The Method and Mitch's Terrifying Experience (which featured Mitch Michell of GBV),this famed Dayton drum dude's new jesus lizard-influenced band. His sister was in Brainiac and O-Matic.
Bonus: Duane from Pica Huss, The Method, Gypsy Witch, and MTE, is on les paul. I think Duane told me he once played in a band back in Kent, called Dirty Diaper Boys or something like that with Joe Dunson.
Nakamura Lock:
Marcy Mays - Scrawl and countless other projects, Surly Girl
Geoff Ortlip - Flapjacks, Econothugs, Nation Of Veal, Miss May 66, Mudflap Girls From Venus, Gypsy Witch, The Diverters,Terrifying Experience, etc.
Darrin Brown - Econothugs, , Knumskull, Electric Animal, Bringers, etc
Jeff Plavcan - Mary Adam 12 , Girly Machine, Low Tide Freakwave, Gypsy Witch, among others
Pat Murphy - Bob City, Gypsy Witch, Electric Animal They are Lions in the Winter.
Second State Butchers:
Rolo - Psychedelic Horsehit, Cavendish
Kerry Stewart - Magpie, Glare, Ryan Smith & The Agency and many more it seams like everyday I learn about
some new band Kerry played in. He is also Ronald Koal's cousin.
Mark Dean - Pica Huss, Monster Truck 005, Medicine Wheel, Vibralux, Jenny Mae, Mitch's Terrifying Experience
Kyle Siegrist - Bubba Ho-Tep, Truman Carter, Mealworms, Broken Circle Gospel Deluxe. Note: Kyle once joined
Scrawl on stage "helping" them sing a very druken version of X's "White Girl". I think Artie was also part of that.

Thanks for the comment on my set. Bourbon... I'll see what I can do. Get a lil' class, apparently.

A little class, or a little glass. I just saw that you have a new set. I couldn't be more excited. Bulleit Bourbon is my fave. Thanks for the thanks.
