Today marked the third day in succession that I awakened before 9 pm. This was most unfortunate considering I had no reason to be awake this early on these days, except for church on Sunday, which I mostly attended to dress up and get a free meal. The church I attended was my brothers and the entire congregation consists of roughly 30 people, half of whom are over 65. Not to mention this number 30 includes the 7 members of my family that are there. I really made an effort to pay attention, but mostly squirmed like 6 year old and played out imaginary religious discussions with the pastor, in which I was most successfully getting the best of him. After the sermon, we headed to the fellowship house and ate lunch. The meal was average, which mostly can be attributed to the lack of entree's and the surplus of sides. The meal concluded and I found myself engaged in a conversation with an 80 year old man wearing a black cowboy hat who was apparently attempting to bestow some sort of wisdom upon me. Unfortunately, it sounded like random words and names that he enjoyed saying but that didn't really make any sense.
The day dragged on, and I watched the Super Bowl, and experienced a plethora of emotions as my team suffered utter defeat. My stomach suffered this same defeat as I ate entirely too much and got sick. I said my goodbyes and went to bed on my pullout couch.
So, that brings us to where we started, waking up this morning. Wait, I forgot a good story.
My mom's friend came over to our little Super Bowl party, and brought her son, who's around 15. Well, as mentioned a few days ago, I've been a little fascinated with Hitler lately, and this kid couldnt stop talking about him. I didnt even bring it up, he just randomly started talking about Hitler and WW2. Alright, this doesnt really constitute a good story, but a weird one yes.
So, today I drove back to Athens, and as I rode the elevator up to my room I saw a bulletin that disclaimed GA Power would be turning off my buildings power between 1 and 4:30. I looked at the clock and it was 12:55. No heat, no power, and I am now a refugee in the confines of the library. I am a refugee, seeing as GA Power is a fascist political entity, at least as of 1 pm this afternoon.
I'm currently listening to the new Bloc Party cd and its decent. I really want to have sex with it playing in the background. So, if thats what they were going for, they are wildly successful. This may also be because I really do want to have sex, but I feel its still a good depiction of the album.
And I'm off to see my baby. The wonderful baby that she is.
Because, Because, Because...
Of the wonderful things she does.
*this was from yesterday...I dont have anything today.
