I'm here today to tell you about the most disastrous romantic gesture I've been the subject of. Guys, if you read this, NEVER NEVER EVER DO SOMETHING LIKE THAT!
I had a friend, who was 5 years older than me. I'm not revealing any real names here, so let's call him Bruce from now on :D We were introduced to each other in very weird circumstances, but ended up being super close friends. I could tell him anything and so did he. I never felt myself younger, we were even in every way. I thought I was lucky to have a friend like him, until one day.
It was an ok Sunday I was busy doing nothing and enjoying it when my phone rang. Bruce told me I had to go and meet him ASAP, that was a matter of life and death. I never doubt my friends, so I left my place immediately. Bruce never told me where we were going, I could tell he was nervous as hell, but I had nothing to do but keep walking wondering. When we stopped I realized we were by his girlfriend's place. Puzzled expression on my face made him talk.
"I've loved you from the very first moment I saw you! You're so dear to me, I can't put it in words. I've dated many, but none were like you. I was afraid of ruining our friendship, but I can wait no longer. I'm gonna go and break up with my girlfriend right now! You stand here and wait, when I'm back, I'm all yours. I'm doing it for you!"
Right...When Bruce finally showed up he was CRYING! Still he announced that we're dating from that moment on and he had to walk me home. We walked in totall silence interrupted by his sobs. It was time to kiss me goodbye, but he said he couldn't. He said he did the wrong thing. He said he loved the girl he had broke up half an hour ago. He said we're no longer dating. He said he'd call me the next day. He left.
I couldn't comprehend what happened, I wasn't hurt, I just felt it was the most disastrous romantic gesture and literally the shortest relationship I've ever been a part of!
