Many people have asked me to write a blog about my experience during the French shootfest that has ended just a few days ago, but already seems like a dream. Definitely the best dream I've ever had.
It was my first international shootfest ever and I'm so grateful for it to be the best possible shootfest experience. Most people would think that if you lock up a bunch of gorgeous girls in a house for a long enough time, some nasty drama will be inevitable, but oh man, that was not the case there. Everyone was so loving, so helpful, sharing ideas, clothes, hugs and kisses. A true happy genuine representation of that a SG community really is. I've honestly never felt so loved before and I feel like I was finally able to give all that love back to people I wanted to meet for a terribly long time.
To say that the place we stayed at was gorgeous is to say nothing. French countryside is epic and it fills you with the sense of being alive and empowers your creativity to the fullest. I'm extremely grateful to our dearest mama @clem for making it all happen in such a fantastic place. If not for her, none of that would have happened. She's done a fantastic job and I'm so so proud of her for coping with us and still endlessly loving all of us.
Our days were chill and fun and at the very same time we worked so hard, that by the end of the day most would just collapse to wake up in the morning again with a smile on their face and ready to create more magic for you people. If you think that shooting a set is a pleasant and fun activity - you're 100 percent right, BUT I dare you try and shoot one! Some of us shot as many as 3 or 4 a day and by the time you're done you feel like you've given birth. You hurt all over your body, but you're just shining with joy and happiness. Not just you, your photographer as well. I admire @lady, @smashbase, @mel_z, @ayah, @saria, @fishball, @chinaski, @coolicio for working almost non-stop day after day in boiling heat, bushes full of nasty bugs, cold water, strong wind, for waking up early, for giving so much thought and consideration to every set they were shooting, for not running out of enthusiasm and for making every girl out there feel gorgeous and unique and sexy.
Trust me, the amount of magic shot there is just overwhelming. I remember watching some of the previews of sets and I would go "yeeees, yaaaaas, omg, this shot yaaaas" just non-stop. I had so many aesthetic orgasms, I thought I would die. Every set has a story behind it, but I will let girls and photographers tell you that. You just have to be patient.
Girls. Where do I even start. I've never met girls that were incredibly sexy and absolute goof balls at the same time! And there they were. All of them! Making my heart stop during their photo shoots and then make me cry with laughter afterwards! The amount of fun we had was just crazy.
One of the best parts was sharing this multi cultural experience and finding so many similarities. France, the UK, Australia, America, Italy and Russia just merged into a huge family called Suicide Girls. I finally felt to the fullest extent what a privelege it is to be a member of this community. I've made so many friends. No matter where in the world I go, there will always be someone I love and someone who loves me and is happy to see me. I love and miss all of my girls. Our pool hangs, our warming cuddles during the big multi in the coldest wind, our drinks, crazy cooking, twerking, hugging, kissing. You are my family. The best family one could ask for. Here, I'm crying again. But not because I'm sad, but because I'm so so so happy I get to be part of your life and you get to be part of mine.
@lilymai @mandeelou @marlene @bobonco @avrora @karanlit @nymphae @indigo @nayru @azazel @miss_mystie and everyone I have already tagged above. I.LOVE.YOU!
