So, I've been working at Hertz rent-a-car for about 3 months now. It can get really fucking busy, but it's fun overall. The address is 361 N La Brea in Los Angeles, between Beverly and Melrose. Of what I hear from the guys I work with, we are the second busiest location in Southern California. First place goes to Los Angeles International Airport, to put...

Late reply, but

If I would rent out an Escalade for 5 a day, I'd lose my job. A normal price for an Escalade can range from 150 to 200 a day. For a random customer, that's most likely the price they would get. In special situations (such as you contacting me to get a discounted rate), I can lower the price of an Escalade without risking my job.

As far as the 20 a day compact car goes, that's about the lowest I've seen them rent out for. Again, I could do 5 a day for a compact if I really wanted to. Would I lose my job over it? Possibly, but no where near as quick as the Escalade scenario. The average price for compacts are 25 to 30 for retail, and 20 to 25 for body shop and insurance replacement. If you want to rent a car for retail (aka for fun), then the average price would be 25 to 30, but I could go down to 20.

Does it make more sense now?

How many fucking people doesn't it take to get a god damn plumbing job done?

Incoming rant.

The entire house has been clogged up since about 4pm Thursday. Anytime anyone flushes a toilet, uses a sink, shower, laundry, anything involving water going down a drain, it will come up through my shower drain. That night, I called out a plumber to fix it, only for...

So, out of boredom, I think I'm going to create a championship belt (like the ones in UFC or WWE), but make it entirely out of Magic the Gathering cards. I've got tons of unused and essentially worthless cards that I can cover in tape. I just need to make it thick and somewhat durable, so it can actually be worn and look semi-decent, and...

You need more cards...can't just have them all rectangular shaped although that makes a nice start. Put some more cards on top of them...maybe the center part, make an oval with gold bordered cards, lol.

This one is lengthy, but full of examples and related to the previous blog...

So, with all that said, here is a very simple 16 person tournament, so you can see how it all works out. To make it much easier on you, I'm going to use numbers instead of names, and the winner of the match will be determined by whichever number is lower...

I don't know what it is about tournaments and ranking systems, but I really enjoy them. Teams or individuals, as little as 8 or as large as 64, I find it fun to keep up with. I often come up with my own little tournament about various things, from the NBA, to Magic the Gathering, to who is the hottest SuicideGirl. Once I set it...

Soccer, you broke my heart for a second time.

You can skim my last blog to get the full story on the first time, but here's a quick recap. I'm half dutch (from my mother's side) and a big fan of soccer. Specifically, international soccer, so naturally I cheer for The Netherlands. Last year was The World Cup, and my team made it to the...

Next sport I'm going to blabber about.

Soccer.

By impulse, most people would say "oh, he's probably not fully American, cause he likes soccer." You'd be correct. Well, mostly. Like I said in an earlier blog, I consider myself half Dutch and half Armenian, and there's a lot of soccer blood between those two.

As a kid, I used to play in a larger soccer...

You know how people make a New Year's resolution? Most of the time, it's something reasonable, like limiting the amount of soda you'd drink, or to quit smoking by the end of the year, or the ever popular one, to lose weight. What I believe most people do is to try it out for the first month of whatever it is they promised to themselves,...

I'm in the same boat...it's the reason why I sold off my standard rig for MTG...to free up time and free myself a bit from the lifestyle that is playing Magic and hanging out with players all of the time.

Ever since I made my first blog two days ago, I've been thinking of what I should talk about next in my next one. It's weird. I never thought I'd be doing something like this, but here we go again, round 2. So I've decided that this one would be about...

Sports. (Edit: So it seems that my usual habits of typing a ton came...

So...... This is a blog, huh? I've seen a bunch of then, haven't really read any of them. I always ignored them because it's something I just don't do. But here I am, writing one for the first time. Why? I'm not even sure yet. I'm becoming more active on this site, as in doing more than just looking at the set of the day....
