I agree with others that you shouldn't necessarily give up on it before it even gets started... but I know long distance relationships are tricky, and it's hard for someone to uproot their life. I don't really have good advice, but since it's hard to forget about her, why not just see where the relationship leads? Maybe your (or her) circumstances will change and doors will open up.

Well to be honest we seem to be an on-going thing whether we are together or apart! We split up 2 years ago and still seem to be waiting for each other! Lets just say I think I know I'll be spending Christmas in NZ this year

Yes and No! Yes because it will be in a beautiful new city! And no, because I personally consider Christmas to be a Family and friends time, and I think I might have a little wobble of homesickness that day!

Having a great time on the East Coast. Going to an NHL pre-season hockey game tonight. Then out for some refreshments after.
Went to the Alexander Keith's Brewery for a tour as well.

Yeah unfortionetly its the case. We are about twenty people who will work x-mas and none of us wants to Tho at the moment I try not to think about it and just focus on the faqt that I must be greatful that I even have a job to go to. Many people dont =/
