So, my plan was to spend all of today doing homework, so that I'd have lots of free time next week to play with my beloved somelameo. And here it is, 16:30, and I'm about to get started on work...
What have I been doing all day?
My friend Ruchama and I went to the annual plant sale nearby, and went totally nuts. I bought three tomato plants, two peppers plants, two basil plants, rosemary, strawberries, cilantro, chives, orange bergamot mint, a cactus, and a lovely flower. Then we went to the hardware store and bought some planters and soil. So I came home and transplanted stuff, and got some seeds started in little cups (more cilantro and various flowers) and then tried to find space for it all in my apartment... Mixed results. Nonetheless, I'm gonna go back tommorrow and buy another strawberry plant (to fill the planter!), more soil, and maybe some hanging plants. I am awesome.
Then I baked some cookies, which came out awesome, and spent an hour on the phone with some good friends. So that was rad, though I'm a bit worried about them. They seem sort of restless and discontent.
Thinking of restless, the weather here is totally bonkers. Two days ago, it was in the 80's. Then for two days, it was in the 40's, with occasionaly thunderstorms. Today dawned overcast, then got sunny, and then there was a downpour which turned to hail, and then the sun came out again and it was hot and steamy and glorious, and now it's cold and cloudy again. Totally wacko.
Now, finally, to work!
