Well, here we are, back in the US. In fact, if I can figure out how to reduce the kBs (not having Photoshop) then I'll post some pics. We've got some good ones.
Wow, jetlag is awesome. So is the patch. Really fascinating to understand the precise fabulous feeling one gets from cigarettes - though it's definitely going to take me a long time to get over the joy of inhaling smoke.
So I finished Atlas Shrugged. I will really never understand why people hate Ayn Rand so much. I don't agree with her philosophy, but I really enjoy her writing. Rob and I were talking recently, wondering how many people who despise Ayn Rand and think that her philosophy is total crap also see Tyler Durden as their hero. And whether we're right for thinking that they are morons.
Anyhow, Atlas Shrugged is, in some ways, better than The Fountainhead - it's more monumental, sweeping and glorious. Rand lays out her philosophy quite explicitly, at times knocking you over the head with it. I think in the end I liked The Fountainhead more, better story and more sympathetic characters, as unreal as they were. Oh well.
Anyhow, I'm gonna get back to watching Dogma with the boyfriend. He's relishing the couch potato life. I guess we're gonna wait until tommorrow to see Spiderman, since today is my mom's birthday.
