ok, so we actually got to dc two days ago, but the phone and dsl weren't working until some creepy dude came this morning, snuck into the back yard, and fixed em. literally, like, my grandmother thought she saw someone out the window, but when she and my mom ran outside to greet the guy (they're wierd) they found no one there. they ran around the entire house, looking for footprints and all, and had decided that it must be time to put grandma in a home when the phone rang - they guy was making sure it worked. wierd.
anyway, since my last update, life has been pretty good. in kansas city, we went to breakfast at this place called coffee girls - it was fascinating, because though it was uber trendy, they played muzak. shawn explained that this is because the employees get sick of hearing their beloved indie emo crap all day, and prefer the muzak. heh heh. anyhow, they made me an absolutely beautiful smoothie, so lovely i had two. rasberry, banana, peach, and rasberry sorbet. delightful.
then off we drove. we stopped in st. louis to see the Arch. it was pretty damn impressive, really something. very large. then we just drove a lot. spent the night somewhere in kentucky, and drove more. though i did have grits for breakfast in kentucky, and that was probably the best part of the trip. i love grits.
dc so far has been pretty good, as per usual. we had some fantastic sushi last night, and went and saw super size me. it was pretty much what i expected, no big surprises, but still rather disturbing.
though i did eat a really fucking delicious half pound grilled sourdough burger at hardee's the other day.
oh, the other exciting thing was yesterday, we picked up my parents' new prius! it's pretty super.
i swear, once life gets boring again, these entries will get shorter.
ps - sorry for the crappy grammar. i haven't had breakfast yet. so deal.
