i am officially a quitter now. but let me tell you, i never understood the wonders of nicotine until today, when i first strapped on the glorious patch. after 20 minutes, i felt like god. someone really ought to examine the effects of such a heavy dose of nicotine on the manic depressive organism, i think it's a pretty unhealthy dose of fun. of course, 2 hours later i was puking my guts out and feeling like crap, but that too, passed, and now i feel kinda spaced out, but ok. no urge to smoke, aside from a faint inkling, which subsides upon chewing gum (sugarless, apple flavored, good times).
let me tell you, don't muck around with the cigarettes. strap on a high powered patch, go straight to the source. nicotine is rad.

Congratulations on the mainlining teh nicotine!
No seriously, I did try it. But I put on like seven of them at once. I woke up four days later at the side of the river clutching a large rock in one hand and a bottle of olive oil in the other. It was really weird.
Now I just chain smoke again.
