I am totally not sure what to make of this new layout. I've been away for so long and all of a sudden everything changed. I'M SCARED OF CHANGE! MAKE IT GO AWAY :'(

Life goes up, then it goes down. Then back up... then back down.

I can't help but get the feeling that I'm stuck in a circle with no way to get out. I want change but for some reason, I'm scared shitless to change. I think I've began to settle into a pattern of acceptance for what things are RIGHT this moment. This isn't anything...

I just wrote a novel about something but decided to just delete it and ask this question: what do you do when you have the opportunity to take back what you sometimes consider a mistake or walk away from it forever, but all you can do is keep yourself in limbo? No matter what, I can't make a definitive decision for the life of me....

Man... seeing you say "what if" kinda blew my mind. There's so many "what ifs" on both sides that seeing it from someone else kinda makes me think that the what if game should stop and maybe there is no what ifs and what it is right now is how it actually how it is and nothing more. Good words of wisdom right there man. Thanks!
blk_dynamite:
The mind is as dangerous as it is revolutionary. It can be both creative and destructive; as a creative writer, I need my mind to explore endless possibilities and different perspectives. But when I'm bored or my motivation is low, I cannot shut my brain off and those same demons eat me alive. It's times like those when we need to accept that things occurring are the only existence. If you think about it, playing the what if game kinda gives us this egotistical, omnipotent personality as if we're know exactly what will take place had we opted to choose a different path. One can argue that it's more deductive reasoning than it is pretending to be all knowing, but we love exploring the idea that our lives would be better had we done things differently. It's impossible to know if the grass is greener on the other side.

i did frown favorite band of all time will officially never be complete again. it is sad but i'm glad it happened rather than keeping his body in limbo for years and years which i always thought was sort of wrong in the first place. chi will always be the fuckin man and of course, DEFTONES FOREVER <3

haha! yeah it is a shame but i really feel no need to keep exerting time and money to travel and shoot sets if they are never going to be bought. i'll still do other things and post pictures every now and again. perhaps i will change my mind someday, who knows.

i got the name rexx because around the time i joined one of my crazy friends used to call me "Stubbsasaurus REEEEXXXX" (just like that). my last name is stubbs so people are forever coming up with unique nicknames for me.

anyhow the name stuck so i chose rexx as my name on here.

i have never heard of this rawhead rex, should i check it out?

So I decided to change my SG name. I dunno why, just decided it was time for a change lol.

In other news, my friend Jon turned me on to this band The Ocean (as seen above). They are absolutely fucking amazing. I can't stop listening to them. All fucking day. In the car, at home, at work... EVERYWHERE! They have a fairly ambient sound...

I've been doing so good going to the gym and training more but, I'm slipping! I keep finding myself wondering "why am I doing this again?" and then I keep stopping! What's wrong with me? Someone give me some motivation or I feel like I might slump back to super lazy!

Aside from that I started my new job last Thursday! So...

Life has been interesting lately. I feel like shit is starting to come together.

Got a new job that I start soon that's better in every sense than the one I have right now. I need the change, that's for sure. The rekindling of relationships both romantic and friendly has also been awesome. It's great having people back in your life you've missed. I'm trying...

I'm bored. It's been a long last couple weeks and I just don't know what the fuck to do with myself when I have time lol. No work tomorrow which is fuckin sweet because my job has really been stressing me out lately. I need a vacation. Well, aside from the one I have planned in a month or so. Another would be great.

really?! i always feel like the west coast gets the best sampling of sick bands that don't tour too often. but having new york on our coast is definitely helpful. a lot of tours don't come through pittsburgh so i travel there quite often for shows. maryland death fest is totally worth a cross country road trip, have you seen the line-up?!?!?! i will admit former years have been more impressive but bolt thrower, sleep?!?!!? tons of other awesome shit but those two alone are worth it. just sayin tongue

What's up world? Life has been hectic as Hell lately. Haven't had time for much of anything lately but thankfully it's starting to slow down. Lot's of work and random VA crap to deal with. Took a couple weeks off of JIu-Jitsu training because I had so much crap going on but I got the fire again and I'm back in the gym. Feels good...

How about that Cain Velasquez eh? My favorite heavyweight (from Arizona and an ASU alum I might add...) gets out there and gets his damn belt back in devastating fashion! Thoroughly enjoyed that! Props to JDS for taking that beating like a man! Nothing but respect for him, he's always been one of my favorites.

Aside from that, I'm glad I took Saturday off. Still...
