well, we dodged the hurricane. or rather, it dodged us. we had a few stronger than normal gusts of wind, and it rained a very tiny bit on wednesday night. we had a hurricane party at my boss' house, and then came back to the apartment once everyone had passed out and continued the festivities. i don't know whether i was relieved or disappointed that we didn't get hit... no, wait, yes i do- i was relieved. 
in other news, my best friend is definitely coming for halloween. this makes me happy beyond words. i'm really not entirely myself, or entirely happy, or an entire person, even, if she's not here.
hopefully work this weekend will be better than last.

Yea i'm ok. Spent 100 bucks on rations to get me throught he horribleness that is Ivan the hurricane. Yea we lost power for about 8 hours and cable was down for 10 hours. Oh the horror! The casinos shut down from tues night till this morning. No real damage anywhere, though I did see a tree fall down,
Glad to know you are ok. I got a couple friends in new orleans that i was worried about, though they took off to some other southern town that i don't know about.
