went to a party at the maple Leaf last night for my friends Griper and his wife Teresa, and Marcus, who are all leaving town. got to see a lot of friends and bar folk and enjoyed being on the same side of the bar as them, for once. didn't work last night- we just closed down the bar until Lori's shift at 2 because pretty much everyone who would have been there was at the party. danced like a fool, spent too much buying everyone drinks, and made good on my promise to myself to not get drunk and sentimental (well, i didn't cry, at least). skipping class today because i woke up at six and hadn't done my reading or homework. but my boyfriend had fixed me a big breakfast- cheese omlette and bacon and biscuits- then i went back to bed. all in all, it was a good couple of days. 
i think i have fleas again though- you know what they say about lying with dogs. ah well.

why do all bars (esp dives) all have the exact same smell at the end of the nite no matter where in the country you go?
