i am so fucking tired. haven't been sleeping right. and this morning/afternoon everyone and their cousin has decided to raise hell out in the street under my window. why? who knows. hooray for magnolia, where the fun never fucking ends, eh?
work started off dead last night. thankfully it picked up later, but until about 1.30 there was never more than three people in the bar at any one time. christ. then i had to throw another creepoid out for scaring away female customers. otherwise it was an uneventful night. but things should start looking up again- next week is midsummer mardi gras, and the week after all the college kids should be getting back. and as obnoxious as they are, those kids are my bread and butter. so. until then...
that's all for now.
ciao ciao. -Hyena.

I used to live right above an Irish bar, and that was a whole lot of late night noise complaint fun. The funniest moment was late one night my girlfriend and I were having really, really loud sex, and when we finished there was a round of applause from the street below.
Is there more than one Mardi Gras?
So get some sleep, fuck I need to take a nap myself. Take care and as always, kick some ass for me.
I'll see your computer crash in the middle of typing a message, and raise you a massive blackout that paralyzes the entire northeast.
When it gets dog days of August / mad dogs and Englishmen hot down in NOLA, do the crack rock trucks masquerading as ice cream trucks actually wind up making more money selling ice cream than they do from selling crack?
Speaking of making money, hopefully the increased shifts and increased stress are worth it for the increased bucks. I'd drop some hints to spend some of your new-found cash on a digital camera, but then again I'd hate to be crass.
Heh...me and the wifey-to-be are too damn lazy for a real honeymoon, but I'll try and talk her into a trip to NOLA if only for the free ginger ale.
But then again, if I refer to her as "wifey" she's going to punch me in the testicles, so that might preclude any travel plans.
Of course, I'd wonder if it'd be cheaper to have one person come visit two people, rather than the other way around. See, I said we were lazy.
And no, this doesn't change our mexican pirate escapism fantasy relationship in the slightest. There are still modes of transport to be hijacked, decks to be swabbed, and secluded beaches to run away to and hopefully lots of...um...maybe I shouldn't get too far ahead of myself here.
But yeah, you should consider visiting scenic Brooklyn. The food is good, us natives are overly friendly, and what're the chances we'll have another massive power outage?
