1.) for the four years i've been in new orleans, it's been unusually dry.

2.) this spring has been more typical; it's rained for at least an hour every day for a month now.

3.) thus, the ground is totally saturated.

4.) enter tropical storm "bill".

5.) it's about noon here. it's been raining for a few hours now. we're supposed to get between seven and ten inches of rain before tonight.

6.)i live in a basement apartment.

I know exactly what you mean about the type of people that are far too insistent about the metapysical, meeting and being around them sorta drains the thing, and can be overly annoying. Open mindedness definately does not concern itself with selectivity, you're right about that.

Damn, all that rain would depress me worse than i already am. sheesh.
Well, i hope you dont get flooded outa your basement.. that would really suck.

I know what yer goin through, Mr. Bill can suck a cock. It's been raining since last night. If that's not bad enough, Sid is afraid of thunder and lightning and refuses to go outside alone if he hears it, which means i gotta go out while he takes his sweeto old time shitting. Then we can't flush the toilets without flooding the toilet, so we use a bucket. New Hampshire we only had to deal with 3 to 5 months of ice, snow, cold, ect, ect. Now I gotta deal with 6 months of hurricanes, blistering heat, and whatever else is wrong with down here =D. Oh well, time to take Sid back out.
