You could talk about how the forest in Heart of Darkness represents a wildness that western culture can't beat, and the justaposition of the "wild" Africans (who are mostly all well behaved and orderly) and the "civilized" Europeans (who are killing each other and whatnot. The absurdity of it all seems to be a central point.

But, thinking about it, it's probably too late to be of any help.

I never really got into married with children. I was not allowed to watch it as a kid and i guess its humor was lost to me growing up. I get more annoyed watching it than anythng else. Or myabe its just that they give white trash a bad name.
