Look at this craziness:

Man's amputated fingertip grows back.

It doesn't quite grow back while you watch... but it's an amazing story.

edit: seems like not everyone is as impressed with this story as me:

Professor Simon Kay, professor of hand surgery at the University of Leeds, said the claims by the US company that developed the powder were "junk science".

Ho hum.

Does this remind anyone of another song?

I saw her on Jools Holland the other night, and the melody seems really familiar. It's doing me head in.

I've been a right little Photoshop monkey the past couple of evenings.. I don't use it all that often for anything apart from really basic stuff, so I don't know what most of the buttons do. But after reading Celta's blog the other day, I also wanted to have a go at some tilt shift style pictures, where real things are made to look...

Well I decided to stay for now, thanks in part to a little encouragement from those of you who caught my last post... along with some threats from Kpan too tongue Thanks, boys and girls.

Whatever things might be on my mind, letting my membership here run out isn't magically going to cure anything that's wrong. I'll see how it goes.

I expire here in about a week. I haven't ruled out renewing, but I just don't know. There are reasons to stay, certainly, but I wonder if I would spend as much time here as I do if my life was less empty. And the fact that I am on here as often as I am just reinforces that it is so empty. And that...

I seem to have fixed my computer. I'm not quite sure how I did it - I tweaked a couple of different things, and even swapped the hard drive cable, so I don't know exactly what did the trick - but it's probably good that I did, or there probably would have been a computer pizza on the pavement outside the window by the end...

the total war games aren't normally that bad in terms of spec. I played Rome on a really rubbish PC OK as long as you turn the unit size down and don't mind some rough edges

I normally only try and provoke defencive battles as I'm good at winning those attacking less so like you it ends up being a big fight where tactics go out the window 10 seconds in.

The Die so Fluid album is a surprising departure in to folk rock blending influences from many genres including monastic chanting.... OK that's a lie it sounds like the first album, but not quite as good in my opinion. It's far from shit but it really is a continuation of their first

There's a street in town where all the buskers hang out. Well, I'm making it sound like there's loads of them, when there's really two or three regulars. There's the indie-ish chap playing things like Verve songs on his acoustic guitar - not bad, but fairly routine sounding stuff. Then there's the two old fellas with their electric guitars, playing noodly, very trebly versions of...
