It took a while to click with me, but now it seems like I'm listening to "Heligoland" almost nonstop.

In other news, I accepted a major demotion and pay cut to work on the shittiest show I've worked on since 2003. God I hope Hollywood picks back up soon.

That album is AMAZING.

Is it okay to ask what show you're working on?

ANd you are correct, you are a geek--a geek who is absolutely right to challenge the idea of Cage picking up Beta's hammer. I explain it away by noting that Cage is straddling Beta... tongue

At the moment, I'm working on Melissa and Joey for ABC Family. It's just a paycheck. It's just a paycheck. Or so I keep telling myself.

Devil's Playground's "The Fempire Strikes Back" was the greatest thing ever. That is all.

Stupid entertainment industry.

So a good friend and colleague of mine called me up and asked if I'd be interested in assisting him on an upcoming gig.

He's had a very good year. I have not. We worked together on a show that wrapped in December. He picked up work again in February and is still working. He wraps that in a few weeks, and...

So, umm, Wow! Fucking Wow! Massive Attack rocked my world. Such amazing performances, such an amazing show. Horace Andy, Daddy G, Shara Nelson (I'm pretty sure that was her), Robert Del Naja, everybody was amazing. Martina Topley-Bird gave an shockingly good opening performance and was also fantastic singing with Massive Attack during the headlining show, and I'll definitely be checking out her solo work now....

Today I watched "The Beast Below," the second episode of Series 5 of Doctor Who. Doctor Who was my favorite show when I was seven, and it's my favorite again at 37.

There's an old philosophical question that posits a city where everyone is healthy, secure, prosperous, and happy. The price for this is that in the center of the city there is one...

If you haven't seen this yet, watch. It may very well be the greatest thing ever. It's certainly in the running.

Weee! I drove in a blizzard at night. Twice! It was a rough drive across country, and I got stuck and didn't make it home for Christmas Day. But ya know, no biggie. I did make it home. I have a month off (if I go back to my previous job) to just drive around the country a bit. These are good times.

I hope...

Well, OK, here's something fun I directed earlier in the year. It was an interesting experience. Not sure I'm ready to direct a feature just yet, though.

Hmm, things sure look...different in these next two...

And my favorite episode in the series:
