There are 4 things I like doing best:

1. Making soap.

2. Cooking.

3. Drinking wine.

4. Baths.

I have been doing a lot of #1 lately. I am doing six farmer's markets a week locally right now. It's such a rewarding hobby. It might sound lame, but I'm truly passionate about making the best soap ever.

Time for me to show...

You ever hear music that really gives you cold chills? Makes you feel something in your chest you can't quite explain, gives you faith in the ability of man to create something truly beautiful? There have been a handful of artists who do this for me, and Dixon's Violin is one of them. I have been lucky enough to see him play live...

How was the winter solstice for all of you? It was windy and snowing here, just the way it should be.

I am feeling very positive for the new year. I rarely make serious resolutions and carry them out, but I am going to try this year. Here are a couple:
1. Eat more vegetables
2. Become committed to a workout schedule including yoga, pilates...

A lady of my own heart...Indian food is wonderful, veg or meat based curries, i'm not atall bothered by that, they all taste good! the choices and variants of colours this type of cuisine has is just another aspect to love it even more. Cheesecake rocks the fat one (not that you really want to get fat) but it's good none the less tongue aaawww i want some now! look at those lovely pics you posted...how could you. I do hope your doing well with your new indian culinary skills!? tried myself...failed frown soooo much to learn.

So far though (for the new year) as it's playing out, has for me personally been about expenditure! my blasted car has failed it's mot test twice now, needs some work done on the bugger...(again)
Maybe lose some weight, as i've piled on a bit since quitting the smokes for just over 2 years now.
Get out more, there is more to life than just work...
The rest i'll just make up as i go along, and just take it as it comes

I can't get enough of this song right now! Give it a listen.

The end of summer is almost here - it went so fast. Doesn't it always? I'd be lying if I denied looking forward to autumn though. That season has a special place in my heart. The cool, crisp air and rich colors of the changing leaves.. smile Plus I have an...

WOW those are so so beautiful love I have never heard of earthbag homes, but it definetly got me interested!
troop49:
I've never heard these called "earth bag" homes before, but I've used and seen images of a couple of the same homes in presentations on alternative building technologies in the past under the heading of "cob" (the last three images in your post)...I really wasn't expecting to see them here, regardless of what they're made of. Freakin' Awesome.

Good luck to you - it may be "unconventional", but you're going to be much better served by something along these lines than by some stupid stick-built piece of shit covered in drywall and vinyl. (ick)
