So. I've been home for four days. I really haven't done much outside of the house. I took both my cars into the shop to start getting worked. I'm going to take a whole bunch of stuff out of my old car and put it in my new car.
About towing the old one. Let me paint you a picture: This car has been sitting in the back yard for six months now without doors. It's incredibly moldy inside. It's rather disgusting. The headliner is falling down, there is no instrument cluster, shift knob or boot, the steering wheel is half falling off. The brakes don't work very well (read: at all). The taillights were also sold, so I didn't have anyway of signalling my crippled-nature.
Anyway, we were towing it with my mom's Maxima, it was just a strange sight. I had to violently pull up on the emergency brake every time I wanted to stop--that and pray that the back wheels didn't lock up and cause me to skid into the back of my mom's car. Fortunately that never happened. The cops didn't stop us either, which was fortunate. We were really scared when a cop drove right by us, but didn't stop. <phew>
I was a little scared of getting the car just plain rolled out of the parking lot of the garage, but Bobby assuaged that fear by saying that it's the bad part of town, so cops drive here quite frequently, so they won't have enough time to avoid detection.
I'm gonna take a shower and maybe stop by there, see if there's anything I can do. I'd really like to get it started soon, just to get everything back up and running.
I consolidated my loans yesterday. I owe $17,125 to Sallie Mae. (not including all the stuff my mom had to take out). They told me I can pay $117 a month for ten years, but that seems like an awfully long time to take, so I'm gonna probably pay more than that--depending on how well-paying a job I get.
Speaking of money. I think I might not get a new GTi when they come out.. this is up in the air, I really have to decide what I want. I've been increasingly attracted to the Scion xB (Yes, the box). I really want one. They're incredibly cheap, too. with it starting at $14,000. That frees up almost $12,000 from the new GTi price. With that money, I could pay off more student loans, or just make my car my own. I'm really not sure, though. Ariel said I don't know what I want.

Um, that friend with the finger, the "best friend", that would be Carly. You might give her best wishes yourself.
