I know I say that I might not make it home for Christmas (and my 30th birthday on the 30th!!) but in all reality, we know that isn't about to happen.

We all know that I would sell everything I own, call in all the favors I might be owed, and ask for a few before I gave up the quest for home.

Life out here is good, but it's hard.

I'm exhausted by the hours I put in at school and being that I only work two days a week I'm often strapped for cash (particularly because work has been really slow lately).

But...I can't let my NYC friends down...I know that if I asked they'd help me get home.

And my Texas friends, they know how important it is for me to make it home and would and have been offering to do anything they can to help me make it happen.

Do you know what it is to feel so loved?

I do, but sometimes I forget.

I guess sometimes it's the hard times that help me remember.
