Today I finished off another course at school.
I can honsetly say that I'm sad to see it go.
For two reasons:
1. I liked it.
2. My next class is electrical...yikes!
A couple of buddies came over last night and we studied.
I had this horrible feeling that I'd gotten all the questions on the former tests right purely by luck...and that despite all my studying, I'd show up for this test and blow it.
It was an eerie feeling.
We spent our day cleaning up our garage and hanging around. I had to have one of the instructors (my favorite, Mr. G) break into my car for me because I'd locked my keys in my car, but other than that, all went smoothly.
Sat down for my test and fucking blew threw it in like, five minutes. Took the time to look over it again, as I always do, for another five minutes. Then headed out for a celebratory cigarette.
While sitting out there some of the other students came out and we started to discuss our answers. They'd already seen their grades and there was some serious discrepencies between what had been graded right on previous tests and how the same question was being graded on this test.
We all piled back into the classroom to get our grades.
Army guy got five wrong...and there was a small uproar regarding this, since he's never missed so many on a final...it just didn't sound right.
I missed three. Three of the same ones Army guy missed. My partner missed the same three plus one...and on and on.
We reviewed these questions with the instructor and realized that there was a problem with either the previous answer keys or this one.
Not willing to accept three wrong on a final I know I aced...four of us marched down the the E.M's office (educational manager) to let him know there was a problem.
He said he'd be there in ten minutes...we waited in our classroom for probably 45 minutes or more before he showed. And then we debated these questions with him for another hour.
There were visual aids, books open, and a couple voices raised.
And while this E.M. has come to see me as something of a trouble maker...as this is the second time I've debated test answers with him...I'm really quite good at handeling myself in such situations...
In the end, he gave us our three points because we were able to prove that he was wrong.
Another victory for me (and my team of supporters).
And yes, ladies and gentlemen...I will be receiving the 'student of the course' award again. That's three out of the five classes I've completed. Can we say, 'geek?'

After school I was very productive.
I immediately headed to the post office to express mail my absentee ballot to the board of elections in nyc.
I picked up some halloween stuff...although there's some question as to what I'll end up being...naughty angel, bunny, or sexy devil...
Then it was off to Wal-mart to finally have my tires taken care of.
Got my hair cut and picked up some more things I've been neglecting.
Picked up my car...tires not replaced, but fixed, rotated and balanced.
And...the tech left his number on my dash...right under the little penis made of panel adhesive the boys in class made me.
Arrived home and dropped that number into the jar with the rest of them.
I've started a collection in an empty mason jar I've got.
Sorry boys, but my heart is already spoken for.
And it's NOT Mr. Cajun (much to his chagrin)!
Now it's time for a nap!

Too bad you can't be here and celebrate the electoral antics with the rest of us drunkards. But I hope you manage to have a good time where you are. Texas could be a very sad place tomorrow... (hopefully)
