Ok...so I got pick pocketed yesterday...
I should probably be more upset about it...but the sucker only got the one cigarette that was left in my cigarette case.
Yes, Ladies and Gentlemen, I actually put cigarettes in my cigarette case. (when i'm not smoking, i use it as a wallet)
The upsetting thing actually is the loss of the case itself. It's a case I bought when I was in Boston at Berklee College of Music's summer program, the summer between my junior and senior year of high school.
And yes, I've had it aaaaalllll this time...and continue to use it.
I lost it once after getting a nasty concussion at a Dropkick Murphy's show in Boston. I left it in the Greyhound station as I headed home. A couple weeks later it showed up at my mom's house. The money and credit cards were gone...but my driver's license and case were returned. And frankly that's all I cared about anyway.
Truth is...even though I loved that case so much...with all it's nostalgic value...it was probably time to get a new one anyway. It was starting to fall apart.

Had a funny conversation with my brother while we were at our mom's for her birthday.
He's always been my best friend. I can't remember a day where we were ACTUALLY fighting or anything. Mom's a bit nuts (she actually has a diagnosis of narcisistic personality disorder...go look it up folks, it's a lot of fun! -insert sarcasm here-) so we've always been a team, my bro and I.
He's always been something of the 'rogue.' Smokes lots of cigarettes and pot, hallucinagens, etc...heavily tattooed, metal, criminal, runaway. He's a brilliant guy...but had some trouble settling down into college.
Recently, he's given up smoking, drinks only about once every two weeks, walks 5 miles a day, and doesn't eat junk food anymore. Plus, he keeps his house neat! I joke about the invasion of the body snatchers of pod people...but he says it's because he's finally straightened up and started acting his age. He's 32.
The funny part is...I used to be like that. Straight edge...vegan...reformed criminal...etc...and now?
He says that it's because when I was 18...I ACTED like I was 32...
And now, I'm acting like I'm 18 because?
"Because you never got to."
Hmmmm....good point.
I hope I at least learn to keep my goddamned house clean at some point. It's beginning to become a health hazard!!!

Now go wish steveneurotic a happy birthday! He's turning the big 2-7 today!!!

p.s. I'm off to the hot rod show this weekend. Won't be in work (read: no internet) tomorrow, as I'll be in court dealing with the money I owe/bankrupcy thing...*sigh* But I suppose that gives me more time to fret about seeing The Greaser after 8 months...I think I'm going to vomit.
See you Monday!!!

Sorry about getting pick-pocketed, but at least they didn't get all that much. Still sucks though.
