So i was walking home from work today and I stumbled into this new punk rock/indie record store. Flipped through the vinyl. It was like I was flipping through my life. It brought back so many memories. I used to have to the total rad punk rock vinyl collection.
I bought an old great punk record - Moral Crux. Started spinning it when i got home. Sent my head spinning with memories galore. I totally felt like i was sixteen, piling in my vw bus and going to shows. Drinking Old E and being all super fashionable with our painted leathers and weathered boots. Hangin out and giving each other rad haircuts. Glue and an old vacuum cleaner work great for liberty spikes by the way.
My cute goth/punk girlfriend watching our coats while we skanked at the shows. What ever happened to skankin? Oh, and lots of silly teen drama.
I can trace my life through my music and my books. I wonder if I can read my future through them as well.
On sunday I went to these open art studios/lofts. The art was pretty mainstream, high end stuff that sells well. I prefer art that challenges me more. The Lofts themselves were totally rad though, wow!
