So an old friend of mine's band is touring with Helmet. They opened up for them Saturday in Boston. It was great to see him. Hadn't seen him in like 8 years. And I taught him how to play drums! He totally blows me away now though. He was even playing with my old hi-hat and cymbals on stage.

I saw an exhibit of maps in Milan a few years ago; they had them from Roman times up to today. Absolutely fascinating.
I like the personified map thing, that sounds interesting. There were some interesting old maps in Europe with the heavens as firmament as well. Or maps from other places: Maya, etc. There seem to be lots of possibilities.
