hello everyone

the past week or so has been filled with ups and downs.

im excited to move, and also quite scared and sad.
ive been packing up the things i wont need until said move.. and.. yeah

just knowing im packing up to leave everything i know.
its bittersweet

my move date is officially february 20th.
its going to be here before i know it.

my mom is coming home on wednesday so spend time with me before i leave. how sweet =]

we've been having a lot of rain here.
the river has risen about 13 feet.
there is some flooding in the area, the river is supposed to get higher tomorrow, then go back down.
im not worried about my house, as its never been flooded and its almost 100 years old, but there are many other people who could see some water damage, or simply have some of their property wash away.

i wonder how many trees i will see float by tomorrow..
5.5 more feet of water, and elkton is flooding.
(elkton is the nearest place they measure the river level-so its diff than where i am exactly, but still means the river is very high..as in the large trees that are down there, i can no longer see them)

i am sitting in my room
windows shut
its not raining right now
the river is probably 150 feet away
and down a bit obviously.
i can hear it.

rushing water.

the umpqua is a pretty large river. where i am it is about 450 yards across
im going to take pics tomorrow

the creek i drive over to get into town has flooded. there are fields half underwater

this area in between old highway 99 and I-5 is underwater by 2-3 feet

good times.

i just hope our power doesnt go out.
im sure there will be or have been some landslides

im sure everything will be fine.

this is the excitement of my winters in oregon. tons and tons of water rushing past my house. lol

my hair is reddish again.
its a dark auburn
gotta have it in certain light to see the red though
