Yay just back from a few relaxing days in France. Caught with my pa - haven't actually been over there for about 3 years or so (although I have seen him a few time in between). As usual didn't have much to say to each other but nice to hang out and sample the local food and drink (quite a lot of the drink actually)....

Just bought Chevelle's CD just out over here in the UK. Sounds like someone stuck Tool and the Deftones in a blender, and I can't decide whether I like it that much or not, tsk
I was actually looking for Breed77, but there isn't a shop in the whole of bloody London that's got them in stock!

Not much is new here.....Just getting back into the swing of things. I just picked up Liar of the Hidden, haven't started reading it yet though. It'll be interesting to see what kind of spin WW puts on the Iconnu. I may get that new Clan Novel chronilogical order thing they're putting out soon. I know it's repititious and I'm probably just lining their pockets but It'll be interesting to see it all roll out day by day.

Ok time for that weekly update! Not much to report other than I am buried in gaming stuff, and slowly weaviling my way through to the heart of White Wolf Publishing Inc. I will rule the planet (err, well at least the games industry) one day

Ugh. I'm melting. Brain evaporating. Got hardly any sleep due to heat nastiness over the weekend. Grappled with Acrobat Distiller for several hours and then got stuck on a train for several hours more. Still no money, and no end in sight. Argh...

Just came back in after a few too many pints, but I will engage your questions regarding my brother's demise shortly.
Hope your heatwave passes soon.

Pretty amazing how I can sit in front of the Internet all day every day and yet still have a struggle to find time to fill in my online journals, tsk...

Another weekend flies by, tsk I seem to be constantly losing track of time. Managed to finally catch up on some sleep yesterday (Sunday) which is nice.
Saw Buffalo Soldiers on Friday - man it's so funny everyone really needs to go see it before it disappears. Also hung out and got down and dirty with my old friend again. Also had a ddep chat...

Good luck with the house. I've had some less serious but equally annoying niggles of late myself.
You'd be surprised how few women see it that way.

What do you mean you knew all about WW's big announcement?? I'm jealous of your sources.
Argh. What a bender weekend. Turned out to be pretty cool on most respects except I'm now super-tired and super-skint. Why can't someone invent sleep-in-a-can or summat? And why can't I win the bloody lottery? Tsk...

sleep in a can exists, its called beer, but has to be consumed in vast quantities. if you won the lottery that would solve the problem, sounds like a plan.
i thought of it first!

It would be nice if we can take something that dials in a guaranteed # of hours of sleep. No more tossing and turning.
Well the blue funk that started setting in when I got back at the beginning of the week has no sign of relenting. Maybe it has something to do with the fact that I haven't been out all week, and I'm as skint as a very skint thing indeed right now...
At least I've managed to get the house fairly straight so I don't have...

Back from the wedding, made it there and back in one piece and had a blast. Actually feel surprisingly good given the ridiculously hot weather, 12 hours straight of solid drinking, no sleep, and also another 6 hours of tedious DIY action when I got back yesterday.
Anyway, my mates have tied the knot, for better or for worse. Things went pretty smoothly except that...

Good luck.
It is definitely too hot.

Well my of my old best mates is getting married on Saturday. Torn between wanting to a) congratulate him on being so sure about that part of his life and b) berate him for adopting the usual stereotypical type ceremony and setup. Tsk. He's bringing his own vicar though, so maybe that'll make things a little more interesting. The evening so should be entertaining and...

Maybe I'll take your suggestion and avoid the coke. What about a ittle coke, more writing, and a threesome? How does this equation work? You should hop on board for the lit/art webzine I'm setting up. You like Piersig, Cool...I could get through Zen, I tried on two occasions but I want to try again. My friend Chris loved both of his books. Word.

I too find the word badger tres amusant... particularly the mythical olde english sport of badger spanking; best completed with a varnished and oiled cedarwood badger spanking paddle. Still carried out by clandestine societies in the dead of night despite it's illegality.
I made the sport up but it sounds so real... he he.
It really doesn't depend on the movies.

I always like to think of it by the old slacker maxim:
Poetry is easy, novels is hard.
With my life the way it is at present I could do with a holiday. No chance.
Maybe when I'm a bestseller.
