is it bad me watching MTV"s "True Life: I'm a Genius" and thinking "If I ever have children, I hope they are not geniuses, so they don't have to live with that stress in their life, the stress to perform and be the best or feel like a failure," or not?

I thought that tonight.

more to follow.

and a possible light into why I'm...

so my front end manager talked to me today...he talked to "The Powers that Be" regarding my pay (when I agreed to take over as an overnight cashier, I did not get a raise despite adding more responsibility). he's not sure when, but I will be getting a raise of $0.25 an hour.

not much, but at least it shows that the store understands what...

Working nights were always crazy. And there were always so many crazy people. Oh, the stories I could tell...

That also seemed to be when the scammers came around. A guy tried to get me for $150 once. His story wasn't half bad.

I hope the long-term sub thing works out for you. That would be a great way to get your foot in the door. Please let us all know how it works out.

it's all relative and thanks wink. 60 hours of work!!!! you're crazy... over 20 and i am overwhelmed wink.

still busy, still making comments and following the stuff regarding Lennon and Yoko Ono. very interesting that Lennon has had the trademark on the name Lennon for 5 years now for musical performances, and now Yoko Ono is fighting to get that trademark removed. even through Lennon has been working under the name (and the process started) way back in 2000.

still working like mad...so...

insanely busy week...where to start?

TMZ.com has picked up the Lennon story and how Yoko Ono is trying to get Lennon's trademark on her name removed (Lennon has trademarked her name as it relates to musical performances and such). interestingly, the lawyer who did the trademark through Arista Records is the son of the lawyer who is working for Yoko Ono...interesting, no? I made a...

well, its a nice, warm, balmy 5 degrees out right now, with a wind chill around -20 to -25 degrees F...yeah, its freakin' freezin' out!

furthermore, family is fighting. well, mom likes to blow up at my step-father at various times for who knows what. I think the latest one is the fact that he has spoken to a lawyer, and considering that she has...

Haha.....it's nice to think that sometimes we are linked by our wallpapers. smile

It's sad how some people are so full of their own importance and don't realise they are just one of many.

My parents constantly battle, well no, that's not quite true, my mum goes to war mainly. These days I've got the strength to tell them to quit it or I'll go home, usually works, in fact it even works in my house although I'm already home. smile

I love freezing, perfect when you're looking out the window with a hot chocolate in your hand.

Glad to see you're ticking along nicely.

Take care.

kiss
lethaldose:
Yeah, being empathic can really suck sometimes. I thought our personalities were a little similar...

I also know what you mean by living with constantly fighting parents. And they are always trying to drag me into it, to take sides. The are killing me, I swear. But at least I, like you, will be moving out soon. Cheers to freedom.

I read that statement be Lennon. I just don't get the whole thing. If John Lennon was alive today, he would probably say, "by all means use the name...and why don't you come over and we can make some music together..." I just hope a good lawyer will provide their services for free or reduced so she can fight this.

And now there is the snow...a good 6+ inches here. It went down to 1 degree F the other night. But at least I have my nice warm fire to sit by...but it's hard keeping a house warm in temps like those with just a fireplace. At least it's a big one.

Take care, my friend.

so I just completed my taxes (rough completion) on-line, using Turbo Tax software (for free, since I made less than $11,000 last year).

so here's how things add up:

I paid the following amounts for taxes:

Federal: $881.98
State: $149.85

according to what Turbo Tax figured, I should be receiving the following amounts for refunds:

Federal: $1,017
State: $191

since I could claim about $4000...

Taxes suck! I paid over $6000 in Federal alone this year after the refund. Its time the tea was thrown back into the harbor. I think i am still an organ doner (sp) but cant see anyone wanting them. Piss me off NY charges for that designation. PA does it for free. Again a sudo tax, reminding me why the tea needs to go into the harbor!
All i have for the edged weapon group is an ax and a chainsaw, neither of which i concider a weapon. My dad is always been around, pissed me off alot, but always been in my life.
lethaldose:
I may have to look into some of your groups. Looks like the last three would be good for me.

Got a very nice collection of combat knives and bayonets.

Psychology was my main area of study and one of my main interests.

And finally, that freaking PTSD. That is always fun frown

Hey, at least the government didn't screw you with the taxes like the bank did with those charges. Next year may be different though wink

let's hear it for insomnia.

last night (that is, Wednesday Night) I went to bed around 4 AM.

that is, I crawled into bed at 4 AM.

I was awake to hear the wicked wind storm go through my area at 5 AM, that last until around 6 AM (yup, in bed for 2 hours without falling asleep).

at 9:30 or so, my job called...

so today at work, talking with a manager. about how I "profile" people and such. how the one coordinator (the cute on that is 10 years younger than me that I would love to date, seriously.....she's got that personality style that I'm just like "Yeah, she' and I would hit it off good!"), I think she has an interesting story about her life that I...

I do believe it will be disposed of by sustained beatings by intoxicated guys in a 5 acre field. But first it will need some modifications.
I need to run smaller tires with a spacer between the wheel and rotor for tire chain clearance. The catch on the e-brake lever needs removed. Since it has a intake leak the cooling system needs modified so it won't develop air pockets between refills. It will need 2x4s pounded into the struts for added ground clearance. All debris must be removed from the interior.

Sounds like things are getting very interesting at work. I just hope that everything works out for everyone, including you.

We both seem to write to get our feelings on paper. Or to try to get them out of our heads at least (an maybe I am just talking to my drunken self). I have written so much, and started at least 4 books. But this one book, it is almost done. Printed out is is well over an inch thick. I have put so much into it. It is about the "most humbling moment" in my profile. Damn good story, even though I do say so myself. If I have to, I have the name of two professional editors if I can't get myself to trust someone closer with it. Just have to see I guess.

I thought the original experience was hard, but writing about it is so much harder. I just hope all of those hours and months of pain are worth it. Thanks for caring and listening. I appreciate it.

Take care, my friend.
lethaldose:
I know what you mean by it being more painful to actually write something out because it goes through so many parts of the brain to get to your fingers and eyes. I never thought it would be so hard for me to write this book. The hardest part though, has been the editing process, as there I have to go back and think about what I wrote a lot, and what to add and what to delete. If I wasn't editing this myself, it would have been so much easier.

I had been diagnosed with PTSD because of this experience. And from someone who knew it well, a great counselor who was a grunt in Vietnam and worked his way up to colonel. We remain great friends today. And somehow, even though writing so far had made me want to kill myself more than once, it has brought so much healing to me. I no longer have the nightmares, cold sweats, the though or smell that takes me right back to that place and time...

So it is healing in a way. Definitely. I just have to finish it. 90% there I would say. And I will get it published. I have always been hard on myself, but this is a great story and a great book. I just hope I can indeed finish it.
