today was Xavier's first birthday party. and I'm drained from it. which is kind of odd, since I was around family mostly, and they don't tire me out! my cousin's wife was paranoid that I got their son a loud, obnoxious toy. I got him 2 pairs of pajamas.
kind of bummed, though. think the fact that I'm looking at my family with kids (both cousins have 2 sons), and realize I won't. mind you, my oldest cousin has been a good father. my other cousin, that's another story. but me, well, it would be nice. but something I've given up on.
on happier notes, Beastus_Maximus left me a testimonial...thanks for that! and yesterday, I got a Nightmare Before Christmas snow globe. and the SuicideGirls DVD. I have to wait when my family is not around to watch it, though. I got a feeling they wouldn't appreciate it too much. go figure!
well, off to reading. by Tuesday, I need to read 12 chapters and write a journal entry. plus my court appearance for a ticket. and schedule an appointment to get my car tuned up. and have them replace the lower control arms. they're bad....and its covered under warranty! so its free....instead of $300!

We had a pro photographer anchored at the start / finish area , she took about 1000 shots, but didn't get a good one of me . My buddy bash shot some video of the milling area , and also of some of the returning boats . We also had a helicopter shooting some footage too . This was a charity event so most of the shots are just to show the amount of boaters that showed up , mostly crowded shots etc.
