Covered my cousin's comic book store today.....5 hours. oh the joys. but thankfully some people came in, so it wasn't too boring.
I've learned that comics have really changed since I last collected. want to pick one up and read it....but then realize I need that four or five year (at least) gap filled in. so why bother?
got my room done today (finally). sent in my registration, did all my financial aid stuff too. all I have to do now is right a $2 check and send to Alfred University (my previous University) the request to send a copy of my medical records to Roberts Wesleyan. then I'll be all good to go for college. yippee skippy! now all I have to do is paint my ceiling (a light blue, to match the trim) and get the dresser (its a combination thing....two side shelf units (4 shelfs) with doors and 4 drawers in the middle. that will complete everything. yay!
tomorrow I cover the store for about 4 hours. might be able to sell some cards I have, too! a guy who came in today (my cousin calls him "Metal Mike", he's into Death Metal and such) wants cards. kind of interesting, I met him earlier this year (at a show at HWS, where I worked....he was there. I referred him to my cousin's store then! small world, huh?). and I have a bunch of what he wants! yay for money!
lets just hope I didn't screw up too badly when I rang up my first customer today. for some reason, wouldn't work....so I ended up with $90 rang up when it was $15. the guy paid with a $20. so I rang him up as paying $95 and made a note of what happened. and the totals today were $75 off! so that's that!

The Coast Guard and local marine patrol stopped the race , we hire them to keep other vessels out of the race course and they judged the limited visibility conditions to be unsafe
