it was my sister's graduation (the older one) this weekend from RBI (Rochester Business Institute, a junior college). kind of interesting, think my sister graduated around a 4.0, nominated for "Who's Who Among Students for Junior Colleges"....not bad for someone who struggled to get her Regents Diploma (to the point of going after school everyday for help and everything).
so I get to Rochester Saturday. do a little laundry, cook dinner for mom and step-dad (pineapple glazed chicken and glazed carrots, using brown sugar and cinnamon). normally my step-father douses everything in ketchup (his mom can't cook worth a spit!)....this time he did not. did thank him for that, and he said it was good.
after I get done eating, cousin's wife calls, she needs to take a shower since her psycho mother and her dad's mother (BTW, her parents are divorced....this seem kind of odd?) were coming over, and she needed someone to watch the kids (my cousin owns a comic book store and was working until 7). I get there, the mother is there, but no grandmother (okay, whatever, in my eyes). well, a bunch of fun stuff, celebrated my cousin's wife's birthday (I got her an Academic Planner, since she is going back to school....RBI, and the movie "White Noise")....cutest thing happened, too.
Hunter is their 3 year old son. he was outside as they were cooking, but didn't want to come in. so my cousin picked him up and carried him in. he started crying. my cousin picks him up to calm him down and goes "So, are you done crying yet?" to which Hunter goes "Noooo!" and continues crying....cute, huh?
we watched "White Noise"....freaked out Wendy, my cousin's wife.
and then Sunday was graduation ceremony (score, it was less than an hour long!), followed by lunch (Ruby Tuesday's....my older sister and her boyfriend are there so much, their order is permanently posted and the managers give them special treatment....they tip EXTREMELY well also!), followed by lots of laundry. finished up with working a little on my cousin's computer. got back here about 2 AM....now that sucked!
so how was everyone else's weekend?
this weekend is father's day....I might see my dad. depends, he's doing work for his mother--in-law. my step-mom has him whipped!
