ahh, fun times. work and cooking. it would be nice except the past few days, I haven't fallen asleep really until around 9 AM. which sucks big time. such is the life of someone working the night shift.
and starting to experiment with cooking. my 2nd cousin has been coming over lately to help my mom with a work project....so I'm the cook. my 2nd cousin doesn't indicate any special dietary needs....but if I remember right, she's got kidney problems (she had gastric bypass surgery at one time, and that caused her kidneys to start to shut down). so considerations I have to make.
and pretty much done with any home improvement projects for now. last one was changing the doorbell switch to the house. the old one, well, the button disappeared. and I live with someone who feels "Oh well, it still works". so I bought a new switch to replace it with....we now have a doorbell button!
so what else is left to do? besides find a real job (real bummer that I got NO calls this summer for job interviews....and yet I think I'm a stronger candidate this year than last year. guess not having a principal as my friend hurts me...that and the state cutting over $400 million from the education budget this year! guess we have to pay for New York State politicians who are at their job less than 50% of the time, huh?

With a bit of luck, some of those overpending zealots will be booted out of public office soon, and things can get back on the mend.
