so last night, a few students learned....don't piss me off.
here's how it goes.....
the cashier gives me an out-of-state (okay, out of country) license to check (for guy #1), and whispers to me "He's with other people." the company policy when someone is buying alcohol is that everyone the person came in with has to show ID. before people start complaining, as the holder of the liquor license, the company can make any requirements for selling alcohol in addition to the minimal standards dictated by law. so the individual has a Netherlands license. there is NO way I can check this, and I tell him that, and he tells me he has his passport in the car. great, go get it!
then he goes to a friend and starts talking with him, said friend I noticed talking to three girls. aha, the "other people" I see. the guy shows me his ID, I ask about the girls he was talking to (guy #2). I ask guy #2 "Are you with them?" and he tells me "No, we're trying to hook-up with them," doing the "You know, help me out" kind of nudge nudge with me. ehh, whatever.
at that time, guy #1 goes to the three girls and tells them that their ID is needed. they talk to me (one girl went "In Holland, you only have to be 16 to buy alcohol," to which I replied "Nice, in the United States, you have to be 21."). 2 of the girls do not have ID, so I tell them "Sorry, I can not make this sale, due to company policy."
well, guy #1 and guy #2 leave with 2 of the girls, while the 3rd girl is buying some stuff. she looks at me and I go "Interesting, the one guy said he wasn't with you, that the two guys were trying to hook-up with you three."
so wondering.....did I c-block him?
